Reliance Standard Guarantee 5

The Reliance Standard Guarantee 5 is a single-premium, fixed annuity with a five-year rate lock. After five years, owners can withdraw or transfer their entire account balance penalty-free. Accounts can also be renewed for a new term with a new declared interest rate.
However, if no action is taken, the contract does not automatically renew for a new term. Instead, a new 12-month interest rate is declared (with a minimum guaranteed rate of 3%) and the account remains completely liquid and in annuity form. This allows for continued tax deferral, no Market Value Adjustment, and no new surrender schedule.
This policy accepts both qualified and non-qualified funds and includes an MVA feature. Traditional, Roth, SEP, and Inherited IRAs are accepted as well as 1035 exchanges. There are no surrender charges at death, and a spousal continuance option is allowed.
