The Reliance Standard Life Eleos MVA 5 is a single premium, fixed annuity with a five-year rate lock. After five years, owners can withdraw or transfer their entire account balance penalty-free. The account can also be renewed for a new term.
If no action is taken, the contract does not automatically renew for a new term. Instead, a new 12-month interest rate is declared (with a minimum guaranteed rate of 3%) and the account remains completely liquid and in annuity form.
This policy accepts both qualified and non-qualified funds. There are no surrender charges at death and a spousal continuance option is allowed.
