Plans to Choose From in Tennessee
Currently, there are twelve standardized plans - A through J as well as K and L. Plan A covers basic benefits while Plan J fills in all eight gaps in original Medicare. The remaining plans offer varying levels of coverage. Monthly premium costs increases as you move from A to J.
In Tennessee, plans F and J are two of the most popular supplemental plans. Plan F covers emergency care received outside of the United States and fills in the most common “gaps” left by Medicare. Alternatively, Plan J offers complete coverage.
Plans C, D, and G are also good choices depending on what benefits are most valuable to the insured. Additionally, some insurance providers offer high deductible Medicare supplement coverage. High deductible plans provide coverage once a predetermined deductible has been met and are generally less expensive.
All policies are “guaranteed renewable,” which means as long as you pay your premiums, the insurance company cannot cancel your coverage for any reason. However, the insurance carrier can raise rates from year to year, which is why consumers occasionally shop for better prices.

We also with United Healthcare AARP and Coventry to offer Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. Both companies offer three plans to choose from and costs will vary depending on your prescription needs. Medications can be filled by mail order or from a preferred local pharmacy.
