Individual and Family Health Insurance

California Health InsuranceThere is no doubt about it- going without medical coverage is a significant risk. If you are self employed, between jobs, starting a small business, a graduating student, or losing COBRA - then we can help.

We provide permanent plans, short term coverage, health savings accounts, and student specific policies. Using our direct online links, you can view quotes and purchase coverage easily with or without our assistance. Federal law prevents agencies or carriers from providing discounts, so you will not find better prices from any other agency or website.

Deductible, Copay, and Preventive Care

We offer several benefit designs, deductibles, co-payments, and coinsurance options. We have comprehensive plans including maternity as well as basic policies that cover only catastrophic needs. Plan deductibles will start at $250 per individual and doctors office copays can be as little as $25 per visit. Lifetime policy maximums range from two to fifteen million per individual.

Our carriers have agreements with many California doctors, hospitals and health care facilities.  You will have many choices when it comes to your health care needs. Almost all of our plans provide preventive care with little or no out of pocket expense to the insured. This way you can see your family doctor for a yearly physical.

California Health Savings Accounts - HSA Plans

Recently, Congress passed legislation approving tax-favored savings accounts that can be coupled with high deductible health policies. These plans are referred to as Health Savings Accounts or HSA’s.  In return for lower premiums, the insured agrees to pay for incidental expenses out of their health savings account.  Once the deductible has been reached, then coverage begins in full.  Preventive care, however, is usually not subject to the deductible.

Money deposited in a HSA can be deducted from your income taxes. Deposits grow tax-deferred and gain interest based on current savings rates or the performance of chosen investments. When needed, funds can be withdrawn tax-free for qualified medical expenses - expenses such as reaching a deductible or coinsurance amount, dental/vision bills, or prescription costs. Unused funds remain in the account year after year for future medical expenses and always belong to the insured - even after the policy is cancelled.
